In the United Kingdom
the General Medical Council, known as the GMC, has a
register for all the surgeons specialising in their
chosen field. Membership of other associations such
as the British Association of Plastic Surgeons
(BAPS) and the British Association of Aesthetic
Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) also illustrate a surgeon’s
background and qualification to perform cosmetic procedures.

inspection.
