Breast Uplift / Lift (Mastopexy)

Breast Uplift Surgery is a procedure that is used to raise and reshape the breasts to improve upon contour & appearance, sometimes with the use of implants. After pregnancy, weight-loss and naturally with ageing, the breasts may begin to droop and sag. Sagging occurs when the breast skin stretches and this results in a less youthful-looking appearance of the breast. Breast Uplift surgery is successful in making the breast more shapely and firm. Many women feel they no longer need to wear a bra to feel comfortable and look good in their clothes.

Breast Uplift surgery may be carried out in conjunction with a Breast Augmentation (Breast Enlargement Surgery). Implants can often help lift the breast by increasing the volume/size of the breast itself.
Differing techniques may be used to correct breast sagging depending upon the degree to which the breasts sag. The procedure involves removal of excess skin from around the areola, & possibly the base of the breast itself, while shifting the skin of the breast to tighten – the insertion of an implant at this stage can provide additional volume for added projection of the breast and smoothing of the skin. In doing so, the position of the areola and nipple can be elevated into a more youthful position.
