Breast
Enlargement (Augmentation)
Breast
Augmentation, more commonly known as a Breast Enlargement,
is a common surgical procedure to enhance the shape
and/or size of a woman’s breasts by the use of
breast implants. The implants are composed of a silicone
rubber shell filled with either a saline (salt-water)
solution or medical-grade silicone gel.
Breast Augmentation operations are the most common cosmetic
surgery procedure and are performed for a number of
reasons varying from patient to patient - Some are for
medical reasons and others purely Cosmetic reasons.
Breast surgery usually improves not only appearance,
but also or especially, self image and self-confidence.

Many women
are unhappy with the size and shape of their breasts.
An out of proportion bust can lead to some women feeling
embarrassed, unfeminine and depressed. Women have their
own personal preference and ideas about the size and
shape of breasts, but generally most would agree that
a good, full bust-line must look natural, firm and uplifted.
Breast
Augmentations are the most commonly performed cosmetic
surgery procedure and information, provided by The American
Society of Plastic Surgeons, illustrates that 236,000
breast augmentation operations were carried out in America
in 2002. The popularity of this procedure is reflected
in the United Kingdom also as Breast
Augmentation becomes increasing popular amongst UK women.
